Hello, my name is Esther and I'm from the Netherlands. I live in the Hague together with my husband and daughter.
Ever since I was a little girl and first went to school I've been interested in cultures and languages from other countries, and that interest hasn't faded since. In addition I have a huge interest for history, and am passionate about books. I even became a bookhisorian.
Currently I'm working in archiving. I work at a large municipality as an advisor in archiving.
As for my other interests: I love classical music, especially from W.A. Mozart and others from his time, but also rock music and from a few specific Dutch groups and artists with which I won't bore you (yet!).
I like costume drama's, zombie movies and more alternative movies. I love British sitcoms like Blackadder and the IT crowd. As for hobbies I love playing the piano and do all kinds of handicrafts. Off course reading is included and I love playing games on my Xbox or wii. Well, that's me in a nutshell!
I also loved as a little girl to receive mail from people I haven't met, and I have even had penpals from different countries for a while. When I heard about this site from a friend I was absolutely enthused! But... postcards are even better, off course ... ;)
