About Raita...

Dear YOU, it' s nice of you to be interested in me.
I live in a small town in Southern Finland, population about 46000, 50 km north of Helsinki. I used to live in the country, because I like nature, walking in the forest, woods and parks. I taught languages for 30 years, now I am retired and live alone. I do not have a website and will never have one. I like gardening, photographing, reading, writing letters and articles, mostly in Esperanto. I'm interested in life, in different people and cultures. I hope I'm tolerant and liberal and try to think independently. I'm not good about computers and modern technology but i'm still curious about many things. Moreover, please upload the cards before sending if you can, my photos are not clear, sorry, and it's a bit complicated to take a photo and put it on the computer. I can't send directly from my camera. I don't have a suitable phone either.
Let's have fun sending cards! In November-December I'd like to receive different Christmas cards from abroad, but they are not sold in every country, I know, so any card is welcome.
Finns send Xmas cards early, before the 24th of December. We do not send many New Year cards. Xmas is the greatest day of the year for us (for the majority, I mean). In 2018 I' m going to leave Postcrossing. I need my time and money for other things, too, but it was most interesting to learn to know something about this hobby and to have about a hundred wonderful cards. Thanks to all of you send/sent me cards so far.
