About Emm...

Hello! My name is Emma and I'm really excited to get your postcard and find out a little bit about you! I have two lovely children, aged twelve and eight. I am a stay at home mum because my youngest is disabled. I used to be a history teacher, and nowadays I volunteer at Nottingham Castle.

I love visiting stately homes, writing, watching films and meeting new people. Some of my favourite times are spent with my family. I'm diagnosed with autism and so are both my children.

I'd be overjoyed if you wanted to send me a card with Harry Potter on, or any kind of magic, dragons or fantasy art. I love stately homes, castles, cathedrals and especially stone circles. Stonehenge is my favourite. I love everything to do with fandom and fanfiction. I'd really like a postcrossing meet up card, they are brilliant. I also like World Postcard Day cards (especially the official 2023 moon card.)

My partner would love to know about your local football team. We are Nottingham Forest fans in our house. We like Ice Hockey as well. My daughter is a massive Simpsons fan, so any card relating to them would be very much appreciated. We've seen every episode four (or many more) times.

I'd love a card with a Japanese kokeshi on it as I have a collection of nearly fifty of these. I love Morrissey and The Smiths so much. I listen to them everyday and have for years. J C Leyendecker's art is glorious.

But quite honestly, I'm excited to see any postcard that you wish to send me! I genuinely will love all of them. If you are stuck for something to say then tell me about a local festival or tradition where you live. Historical facts are good as well, and I'm interested in local mythology and fairytales.

Have a magical day.

Your friend, Emma xxxxx
