About Ellen...

My name is Ellen. I am 33 years old. I live in a small city near The Hague. I work as a primary school teacher. In my spare time I like to do nice activities with friends & family. I like to read books (novels, thrillers and books with a magical touch), to watch movies and TV-series (like Touch, Grey's Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory, Homeland and Downton Abbey) and listening to music. (Blaudzun, Racoon, Jake Bugg, Ben Howard, Saybia etc)
I really enjoy sending and receiving postcards all over the world!
I like many kinds of cards. My favourites are:
- Jetoy
- Gorjuss
- Lali riddle
- Nouvelles Images (multiples, food, black and white)
- Misstigri/Blue Art
- Belle & Boo
- Inkognito
- Nieko Rimto (from Lithuania)
- Limoon
- Pim & Pom by Fiep Westendorp
- Paintings by Raija Nokkala
- Victoria Kirdiy-cards
- Krtek the Czech mole
- Le Petit Prince/ The Little Prince
- Children's books
- Stereograms (hidden 3D-images)/Lenticular(3D-motion)cards or optical illusions
- Food/Cake/Candy/Coffee/Tea (Please no meat or fish)
- Cards with animals on it (squirrel monkeys, red pandas, meerkats, giraffes, elephants, kangaroos, koalas, hedgehogs, penguins and tarsiers are my favourites)
- Drawings/paintings of cats
- (Ancient) cultures
- Mythology
- Nature shots
But please remember, these are only examples. I'm glad with any card you send me! I do prefer singleview postcards (cards with one picture on it). (And please no ad/freecards) Well, to be honest after receiving so many cards, I have to say typical {multiview) touristcards, selfmade cards, folded cards, Anne Geddescards and Winnie the Poohcards (the modern one; I love the old-fashioned one) are not my favourites. But if you only have those, I'll treasure them anyway. You can check my favourites to see what kind of cards I like too! (There are some cards I already received.)
If you want to send me a card which I haven't received yet but the large amount of cards on my wall scares you off (which I can totally understand!) you can check the cards from your country.
Please, write something personal on your postcard. If you don't know what to write, tell me something about your life, your favorite book, your favorite music, a vegetarian recipe or a quote. When you speak another language than mentioned above it would be nice if you write something in your own language too (with a translation)! I like lists a lot, so it would be great too if you write a list on the card. A list of your favourites in general, or a list of your favorite music/movies/books/dishes/names/odors/sounds/etc. ;)
Please feel free to decorate the written side of the card too, with drawings or stickers for example. I appreciate it :)
Can you write the date and your username on your postcard?
I look forward to receive a postcard from you!
Happy postcrossing!
