About Elizabeth...

I live in Michigan, also known as the Great Lakes State because it is surrounded by the largest group of fresh-water lakes in the world!

I am 32 years old and I create and sell cloth toys and books for children on my own website. You can check it out if you like. :) www.childwoodland.com

I also like reading, stamp collecting, pen-paling, listening to my I-Pod, animals (especially dogs, birds, and wild cats), history and learning new things.

My favorite thing about receiving postcards is reading them! If you would take the time to write me something interesting I would really appreciate it! (The more you can cram in the better. ;) If you don't know what to write, here are some ideas:

~ Something in your language and translate it into English
~ Your favorite poem
~ Your favorite quote
~ Facts about your country/region
~ Short folk story from your country/region
~ More information about what's shown on the card
~ Draw a picture (it doesn't have to be good!)
~ Something new you just learned (no matter how ordinary)

Please, teach me something! ;)

And if you happen to have one of these on hand, some of the cards I like to collect are:

~ Views of your country
~ A mapcard of your country
~ Animals or birds native to your country
~ traditional/national/native dress
~ Beautiful views of landscapes or cities in your state (especially if they have the name of the state on the front)
~ U.S. State Mapcards
~ U.S. State Animals
~ U.S. State Birds
~ Big cats (lions, leopards, cougars, etc.)
~ UNESCO WHS
~ Multi-view cards with 17 views or more
(like these :) - http://www.childwoodland.com/postcards2/Multi.htm)
~ A card about the history of your country
~ Snoopy (from Peanuts)
~ "Did you Know?" cards (the ones with interesting facts written on the front like these :) - http://www.childwoodland.com/postcards2/dyk.htm)

My Collection so far :) http://www.childwoodland.com/postcards2/collection.htm

(I usually don't enjoy ad/free cards unless they show something on my wishlist or you take the time to tranlate/explain what the card is saying. Handmade cards are really neat, but please send me one that you would be happy to receive yourself.)

Of course, those are all just suggestions! The time and thought you put into selecting or writing on a card is more important to me than the card itself. :)

Best Wishes from Michigan and Happy Postcrossing!
