Hello! My name is Catalin,I am 26 years old and I am from Targu Jiu, Romania. I ve graduated histoy at the University of Bucharest, the capital of Romania, and now I am a history teacher in a small city near my hometown. I am very interested in meeting foreign people, in practicing and learning foreign languages and about the history and cultures worldwide.
My hobbies are reading, travelling, learning foreign languages, music, movies, and collecting postcards, old and new, especially from my hometown and region.
I prefer postcards with countries, cities and regions and I also like to receive postcards with the message written also in the language of the sender and with the translation in English. If you send me a postcard in French, Spanish or Italian you don't need to translate the message. I would also like to receive postcards with a historical theme/meaning, military images (for users from countries of the former Soviet Union I would be very very interested in receiving postcards depicting elements of the communist ideology,Soviet propaganda, military images, daily aspects of life in the Soviet Union; these preferences apply also regarding other former Communist countries).
I also like religous images, regardless of the religion (religious structures, religious customs, etc. I don't really like postcards with artwork or images with flora or fauna. I also love old postcards or vintage. I'm also into postcards with national symbols, flags, monumets, especially historical ones. For users from the USA I would like to get postcards with the state in which you live, or with symbols of that state.
Also I m interested in postcards with royal families and generally with a historical them.
It seems that the list has become a lot bigger! :)) I am interested also in postcards with the following: old cars, steam ships, nude pictures (artistical), sports postcards (especilly soccer teams, players from all times, American football, rugby, basketball, Formula 1), space ships and rockets, planets and anything connected to astronomy, famous actors from up until the 80s, superheroes especially Marvel superheroes, big fan of Wolverine and the X-Men, Robocop and Superman, James Dean and other famous actors etc. Postcards with fantasy (especially Game of Thrones, LOTR and The Hobbit, etc.) and Sci-fi themes are welcomed. I am fascinated also by the Balkans and by the Caucasus regions so something representative for those areas would be wonderful and also traditional costumes from all over the world. For people from Romania's neighbouring countries I would love some postcards with traditional costumes from your region. I'm sorry if I seem picky. But just send me everything that you would like to receive. Oh and I would like also postcards with royal families from around the world! Hope I can send you as many wonderful postcards as I received but unfortunately it's very hard to fing fancy and special postcards in Romania, especially at a resonable price. Thank
