About Carolin...

PLEASE WRITE MORE THAN JUST YOUR NAME AND HAPPY POSTCROSSING. THANKS!

Hello,

My name's Carolin and I love travelling all over the world. So far, I've been to Canada, Japan (again this year in April), Italy, Greece, Turkey, France, Suisse, Austria, England (I'm going to Liverpool in the first September week) and Ireland.

I would love if you write something on the card:
about the postcard or about your city/country or your life
(I love a lot of text, a card without text or just Happy Postcrossing is just sad!).

If you are native in these languages, it would be nice if you write in them: 日本語, 汉语 or français. Of course I welcome German and English.
Or a sentence of your language with English translation, like your favorite quote...

** The year 2016 is the year of the monkey, and that is the year I was born in. I would love to get typical Japanese or Chinese postcards for the new year with a monkey! **

If you would like to know what to send to me, here are a few suggestions:

**I prefer single view cards without an envelope with real photos of:**

- I adore THE BEATLES!!...(but also them individually: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Georg Harrison, Ringo Star)
- planes in the air or at airports, old planes or about the space/ universe/ astronmy/ space shuttles/ space stations (real or fictional)
- funny-shaped cards (like Japanese gotochi would also be great!
- cards with pictures of yummy food or sweets or recipes from your country
- cards with photos of the currency of your country
- "Keep calm and..." cards, especially if they are special with colours or very funny with the text
- also photos of dogs or puppies as well (especially Beagles)
- cultural cards (traditional holidays - except Christmas - or typical things about/from your country, for example Obon in Japan right now)
- cards about my favorite shows (Vampire Diaries, Grimm, Green Arrow, Outlander, Big Bang Theory, Stargate, Star Trek, Scorpion) or movies (Avatar, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, all Ghibli animes movies) if you have any by chance...
- Postcrossing cards (maybe from a meet-up)
- landscape (sea, beaches, waterfalls, sunsets, mountains...)
- city view (beautiful buildings/ churches/ castles...) or scenes from where you live, or famous sightseeing spots,... etc.

I'm happy to get your postcard, never mind what kind it is (also add cards) as I know how much effort goes into choosing and writing a postcard, but please write a bit more than just "Happy Postcrossing".

On my favorite postcard wall you can see some of those I'd like to get. Those are cards I haven't received.

The profile picture is in Chinese characters (but Japanese meaning) of my last name. My user name is the Bavarian word for girl and is now used for the traditional woman's dress, a "Dirndl".

I'm looking forward to many postcards, so I can plan to travel to your country! ;-)
