About Diana...

Hello! My name’s Diana. I live with my husband and teenage daughter in Grodno, Belarus.

I like spending time with my family. We often go out for walks through the forest and down to the river. We also enjoy traveling in our car, exploring new places and observing the wildlife. I do love and respect all the living creatures that inhabit our planet.

Last year we bought an old village house in a quiet place with lots of wildlife and no paved roads around. Unfortunately, not so long ago our house burnt down, and we had to start building a new one. It is going to take lots of time as it is very expensive.

I enjoy gardening, mushroom hunting, listening to birds singing and photography.

I work at Grodno Medical University Library. I love libraries and bookstores and have lots of books at home. I read a lot including books for children. I like buying books, I like being around books and I like breathing new life into old books by repairing them. I also write stories and fairy-tales for kids.

We have a pet. It's an adorable cat named Kuzia who we got as a present from Santa seven years ago. My daughter says Kuzia is her bestest best friend ever. He is a cutie and we all love him very much.

I love going to the theatre. I also enjoy dancing salsa, bachata and kizomba with my husband but don’t do it as much as I used to due to arthritis which I developed last year. And I like watching sitcoms in English.

I collect books, postcards, stamps, and all kind of envelopes (stamped envelopes with postal markings, handwritten envelopes, first day covers, mail art envelopes).

All cards are welcome. But if you are at a loss which card to choose, here are some hints:

- Pettson and Findus, Krtek, Beatrix Potter and any other cartoons/book illustrations
- books, writers, libraries, bookstores
- sheet music, musical instruments, composers
- typewriters
- retro landline phone
- scientists, inventors, explorers; scientific expeditions
- bread
- samovars, old/ancient kettles
- traditional headdresses
- dance related cards
- animals, birds, landscapes
- ships
- umbrellas, rain
- maps, flags, coats of arms
- concentration camps, World War II related postcards
- postal workers, postal vehicles, letters, mailboxes
- 19th century (people, fashion, architecture, culture, etc.)
- fly agaric
- Richard Gere, Colin Firth, Константин Хабенский, Сергей Безруков
- Easter and Christmas cards any time (preferably vintage/retro cards)

I really like old vintage cards. I don't like neural network cards.
It would be great if you could stick a transportation ticket on your card.

Some ideas of what to write about on a postcard:
- your favourite book as a child / grown up; the book you are reading now;
- your pets;
- your job
- your most memorable / most boring / latest trip

THANK YOU!!!
