Greetings from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada!

We are Christa (mother), Katie (11 years old) and Emily (10 years old).

We are looking forward to learning about other people and how they live in different countries. Thank you for taking the time to write to us!

I (Christa) enjoy baking. I am known, in my neighbourhood, for my pumpkin muffins and banana muffins.

I also spend time reading. My current favourite book series is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Growing up I cherished, The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Anne of Green Gables series.

Now that autumn is here and winter approaches, I have put my garden to rest. My soul wants to bake. I love baking gingerbread cookies. Every year I bake many batches. Some of my cookies go to my neighbours, some I share with my students, and many get eaten by my family! This season, I have treated my self to an enamelled Dutch oven. Now I am thinking of recipes to try with my new cooking pot!

I very much enjoy having little visits with new friends from all over the world. Postcards bring a great deal of joy to my world!
