Hello! My name is Daniel, and I am a 27 year-old Englishman living in Finland with my Finnish boyfriend. I work as a kindergarten teacher at an English-language playschool.
I find it hard to write about myself, but after about four years on Postcrossing I think I should try, so here I go!
I have quite an eclectic mix of obscure interests. For example, I love dragons. They are important to me and I've found them fascinating for many years. I quite like other scaly creatures such as lizards, crocodiles, snakes, and dinosaurs of course. I don't know much about them, though. I just like how they look kinda like dragons! Oh, birds are neat too.
I'm also interested in gaming and especially enjoy game music (I even wrote my Master's thesis in this field). I also make my own music on the computer. Additionally, I enjoy Japanese music in general, as well as graphic design, typography and Internet-related things. I like animation (Japanese, and Western) and am currently watching Adventure Time and Regular Show.
My spare time is like my interests: a very strange mix. I try to make music on the computer in between spending time online. I cook with my boyfriend nearly every day and sometimes I bake (or help my boyfriend bake). I also work out at home (building some nice muscle) and take part in CouchSurfing (we host people from all over the world that are visiting or passing through our city). I also try to live by Buddhist principles, though I don't think I could ever come close to calling myself a Buddhist.
As for postcards, I would love to receive anything you feel would be a good choice for me. You certainly get bonus points if you can find a dragon postcard; they are quite hard to come by! Shirtless men (or better!) are also fine by me :)
It would be great to read something on your postcard about yourself and where you live. You can tell me about your day, what you do, what the weather is like, or anything else you feel like writing about. The message you write is more important to me than what's on the front of the card. I really appreciate it when someone has taken the time to write an individual message for me.
I look forward to receiving your card! If haven't been give my address and have just stumbled upon my profile but still want to get in touch, send me a message! I'm usually quite nice :)
