About Eddie...

June 2022: Hello! After a long hiatus I am starting up postcrossing again - I hope that Eddie will take over his own account as he is 13 (!!!) now. I can't believe I started this 12 years ago - how time flies! So, as you can see from the date, you will be amongst the FIRST people to write to Eddie postcards that he can receive and read himself (rather than 12 years ago where it was all up to me!). Eddie has grown into a teenager who loves:

- biology and animals, especially reptiles, amphibians and insects
- all sorts of transports, espeically TRAINS!
- just general trourist type postcards from your home country or city

I want him to see the world and meet some of the wonderful people that live in it. Thank you.

May 2014: This was my initial profile for Eddie (see below), who is now 5 (!!) years old and has a little sister.... the reason for why we were inactive for a long time.... but we are back now!

October 2010: Hello, this is Eddie's mum - Eddie is only 19 months old at this point, but this is his account (well, he is 5yrs now)! I plan to make him a photoalbum with your postcards, i.e. collect them, put them in a album and keep them for him until he's old enough to read.
I'd like to think that he will enjoy reading postcards from all over the world with your messages to him on when he is old enough and that, for now, he'll enjoy looking at the images.

Saying that, I don't mind what's on your postcards, but at this point Eddie loves cars, tractors, buses, coaches, airplanes - all kinds of vehicles really! Addition - now that he is five, he prefers animals to vehicles, especially forest and wild animals like hedge hogs, foxes, wolves etc.... also insects, slugs and spiders, snakes and other creepy crawlies!!

He would love to hear from you - it would be fabulous if you could tell him about the place where you live, what your children do if you have any, your favourite food or colour, what you do or have done on the day you're writing the card - anything a little boy might be interested in!

Also - a request - could you write something in your own language with translation into English or German? That would be fab - I want Eddie to see the different languages and alphabets!

Danke!

Also please date the card (in case the postal stamp's difficult to read) so we have a record of when it was sent!

Many thanks,
Dot (Eddie's Mum)

The ones that got away...

GB-155696 to Chelsey (Canada) - emailed her and got a reply saying that her address on here wasn't her current one anymore and she couldn't tell me if my card had arrived or not. Asked if she wanted another card or just the code, but she never replied:-(
GB-157096 to JullyStar (USA) - emailed but never got a reply :-(
