Hi, I'm David Knight and live in the Village of Eynsham about six miles outside of Oxford in England with my family and Irish Setter, Rusty. I've joined Postcrossing to encourage me to put pen to paper and to send and receive a few analogue messages alongside all the digital ones!

I enjoy taking Rusty for runs through the Oxfordshire countryside, playing folk tunes on my tin whistle and melodeon rather badly and carving wooden spoons and bowls from greenwood (http://www.spooncarving.uk).

I enjoy cycling and walks in the countryside. The natural world fascinates me and I hope we can reverse the terrible loss of wildlife across the globe and get to net zero carbon emissions well before 2050.

I have not lost my enthusiasm for comics from when I read the Fantastic Four, Daredevil and the Avengers as a child. Comics and graphic novels are such an under-rated art form!

I look forward to gaining a small insight into the lives of folk around the world and doing my bit to keep alive the tradition of sending and receiving postcards.

I’d love to receive a postcard with an image you really like and some words as to why that picture is special for you. If you like theming cards I’d be interested in cards featuring folk carrying out traditional handcrafts such as woodworking, coopering, weaving, etc or bicycle related card. Also images of the natural world from your part of Planet Earth or comic book art from your country.

I would also be very pleased to receive handmade cards.
