About Matt...

My name is Matt, and I live in a rural farming community of about 5000 people. I am a high school teacher, teaching Community Environmental Leadership, Guidance, and generally making sure students are doing the best they can! I have degrees in Kinesiology, Biology, and Education.

I really love being outside, whether it is camping, canoeing, hiking, or geocaching. Our family is has a strong interest in the environment, and sustainable agriculture. You can see where we get our food from at www.reroot.ca It is our friend's farm where we have a share.

I am also an avid obstacle course racer, such as the Tough Mudder (26x), Toughest Mudder (12-hour overnight), and World's Toughest Mudder (24-hour), Obstacle Course racing World Championship, Spartan Race, Warrior Dash, MetConBlue and the Run For Your Lives Zombie Apocalypse race. (This is where my avatar's photo has come from). I also am into orienteer racing.

We love travelling, and have been to: USA, Netherland Antilles, France, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Finland, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Cambodia.

My daughter, Zoë, is 14 years old, and loves to read and write, and we like to fill out postcards together. She enjoys gymnastics and swimming. She is in Grade 9, has a great sense of humour, and is a pain in my butt. My other daughter, Fæ, is 5 years old, and very cute. She enjoys highland dancing, colouring, and building things.

My wife, Amy, is a wonderful mom, an aspiring historical novelist, and into knitting and crocheting. She also owns a local creative playspace hub. www.theimaginationspace.ca IG:_theimaginationspace_

We hope that your postcard can be partially in English, and partially in your home language. I also like to hear of common foods, dishes, and recipes from your country! Thank you, eh!
