About Michelle...

Hi, I'm Michelle. I am originally from California but I moved to Connecticut in 2006 with my boyfriend and our cat. I like riding my bike, reading, nail art, and crafting (mostly crocheting, cross stitching, and making jewelry). I love animals, my favorite is the manatee. My boyfriend and I spend a lot of time playing video games together, but we also like to get outside and do some geocaching.

When it comes to the type of cards I receive, I don't have a specific preference. I like tourist cards, but I also like artwork and silly cards. Handmade cards are awesome and ad cards (preferably from outside the United States) are fine, too. I just think it's nice that you're taking the time to send me something. I don't get a lot of interesting mail so any postcard is guaranteed to make me happy! I only speak English, but I'm very interested in foreign language. If you speak another language and are unsure of what to say, just write something in your native language and then translate it for me. Or, if you are from a country that doesn't use the same alphabet as the English language, you can write my name in your language!

In 2010, I came across a postcard display in a store that I thought was amazing. There were thousands of postcards made by a company called Pomegranate. In 1990, the store made a huge purchase of premium Pomegranate post cards, placed them in a warehouse, and then forgot about them. Now, 20 years later, they've been rediscovered and the store is selling them as vintage cards. I bought quite a few of them and they are mostly art cards. If you have received a post card from me, chances are it is from that forgotten collection. If you don't like art cards, I'm sorry, but it can be difficult to find tourist cards around here so it's usually all I have.
