About Aida...

My name is Aida, I am a student working towards becoming a Biomedical Scientist. I like art journaling, trying out new recipes from different cuisines, I also spend a lot of time at the gym. My favourite colour is yellow. I wish I had a cat, but sadly, currently not able to. I also enjoy listening to music - my favourite bands are The Cure, Velvet Underground, Gorillaz and Nirvana, but there are songs from many different genres that I like.

I love houseplants and have a mile long wishlist of what I'd like to own someday. Currently, I only have three: a little cactus named Salmon and two kalanchoe - a red one named Winston and an orange one named Kalanchovy, or Anchovy for short :)

I like tourist cards and will be happy with any kind: single or multi view, photographed or drawn/painted - city views, landscapes, architecture, state cards from the US, cards showing culture and traditions, or really anything else about your country/city that you’d like to share. If you enjoy sending cards from different countries picked up while travelling - that’s great too - in this case, please tell me about the trip!

Or, if you’d like to send something different, here are some things I like that could be used as inspiration:

-Paranormal, supernatural and horror: aliens, vampires, ghosts, Halloween, graveyards, Tarot cards
-Mythology and mythological creatures, legends (including urban legends), folklore
-TV: Doctor Who (9th is my doctor!), Torchwood, Supernatural, X-Files, Breaking Bad, Brooklyn 99, Terminator, Robocop, Welcome to Night Vale (not tv but still)
-Vintage and retro images such as product ads, fashion and political propaganda posters
-Military themes - vehicles, aircrafts, uniforms and parades
-Sciences, especially biology, medicine, botany and astronomy (space, NASA, spacecrafts, astronauts etc)

Or just send me the weirdest (non-nude) card you have 🙃

Don’t worry if you don’t have any of the above - send whatever’s available, I will appreciate it all the same!

Handmade cards are great! If you like decorating bought cards with tapes, stickers, doodles etc that’s wonderful too, I love seeing people expressing their creativity✨

Russian, Spanish and German speakers - you can write in your language if you feel like it, I will probably have to respond in English, but I’d enjoy the reading practice!

Not sure what to write? Tell me a few facts about a tradition/custom in your country that you like, your favourite recipe, an interesting place in your city, an urban legend from your region, about your pets or the strangest thing that ever happened to you :)

Happy Postcrossing everyone!
