About Hope...

Please send any postcard that reflects you, especially your thoughts; daily life; interests; favorite foods; books; movies; music, and the like.

The following stuff is only here to give you some ideas in case you get stuck. I've shortened a lot from what it was, since I think your own ideas should count more than mine.

I love science, medicine, and nature, including reptiles, insects, and other living creatures who are generally disdained. Night skies full of stars, or even just the moon, inspire me. I live in a city, and love to walk at night, or just climb up on a rooftop to look out over the streets. Because there's no winter where I live now, I miss snow and ice.

I draw, embroider, garden, and do web design. All music appeals to me, although my mood determines which kind I'll listen to. I read just about anything I can get my hands on, and welcome your recommendations about books and films.

As far as art goes, I prefer paintings and photographs which trigger emotions, done in any style. I love fine illustrators, too, as well as poster/propaganda art. Don't worry that something might be too grim, dark, or offensive; however, I don't want art that glorifies violence against the weak - especially sexual violence. That includes animals.

Humorous cards will make me happy. Please translate for me if captions aren't in English or Spanish.

Having said all this, you might think I don't appreciate serene or simply beautiful pictures and photos. Nothing could be further from the truth. I just want to reassure you that YOUR taste is what counts.

Please don't send me religious themes; however, I appreciate seeing mosques, cathedrals, temples, and so on.

Thanks for reading all this; I'm eager to hear from you.
