About Chris...

Hello and Happy Postcrossing!

I am an armchair traveler. I love experiencing other countries from the comfort of my own home (and occasionally through actual travel). I have 3 cats and volunteer my time at a local animal shelter. I work in politics and law and love all things political. I welcome any and all cards with anything at all written on them, but here's some preferences if you are interested :)

I would enjoy the following types of cards:
- Cats in costumes or cats doing funny things
- Anything to do with politics, government, etc.
- Newspapers or journalism-related themes
- Funny sayings, funny or odd cartoons
- Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Impressionism/Post Impressionism, Expressionism, Pop Art

For those PostCrossers seeking a challenge here are some hard to find cards that I would be very grateful to receive!!

- Things from historical times and/or ancient civilizations like: ruins or places (e.g. Roman ruins, Aztec temples), objects (e.g. a Cretan vase, a medieval weapon, Celtic jewelry), people and clothes (e.g. a Druid in traditional dress or a woman in medieval costume) or any re-creations of above (e.g. a model of a Viking town, modern reproduction of ancient artifact)
- A picture of a past or present ruler (president, king, prime minister) of your country or other important government officials
- Folk Art, Objects or Dress (e.g. Turkish pottery, Russian nesting dolls aka Matryoshka, Burano Lace, Bavarian Dirndl)

- Or anything other type of post card! Despite the annoyingly long list of "preferences" above, I will truly enjoy each and every card I receive.

Please write a bit more than just "Happy Postcrossing" on the card. If you don't know what to write, here's some ideas you might write about:

- What you did today
- Your job
- Your favorite place to visit in your own country
- How to say a few phrases in your language
- A joke
- Your best vacation ever
- Your favorite books

I will register all received post cards promptly, and hope that others do the same.
