About Sari...

Hello everyone!

My name is Sari and I live in Southern Finland pretty close to our capital Helsinki.

I am a "folk freak" as I like to call it. I listen to folk music and absolutely love folk inspired art. I have danced three years in a traditional Finnish folk dance group and during that time I picked up Finnish national costumes as a new hobby. I buy, mend and sometimes construct new pieces for the costumes I happen to own. The dress in my profile picture is the national costume of Rautjärvi, if you'd like to look it up.

I'm also into historical fashion and old romantic literature, such as the books by Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters.

Some of my other hobbies/interests include knitting, geocaching, video games (mostly RPGs), Japanese animation and tech (I work as an IT specialist).

I have no strong preferences in postcards so you can send me whatever you personally find beautiful, cute or otherwise interesting. However, I prefer not to receive tourist or multiview cards, as I have a lot of them already.

Some additional inspiration, though:
🌸 Favourite artists: Alfons Mucha, Albert Edelfelt, Heikala, Inge Löök
🌸 Cards by small, independent artists
🌸 Anime & Japanese animation films
🌸 Rock and folk bands, traditional instruments
🌸 Gardens, snowy views
🌸 Cats
🌸 Decorated cards!

You can also look at my favourites for inspiration, but don't feel intimidated by them. If you'd like to use an envelope, please include some tea and/or a piece of fabric (non-stretchy, cotton) in it. I'd like to make a patchwork blanket some day!

Looking forward to hearing from you!
