About Chun-Ju...

Please paste an "AIRMAIL (PAR AVION)" sticker on the card if it is convenient for you. Don't overlap the stamps and label when you paste them.

Saluton! I come from Taiwan, a great and beautiful island on the Pacific Ocean. The former name "Formosa" dates from 1542, when Portuguese sailors sighted the main island of Taiwan and named it "Ilha Formosa", which means "beautiful island".

I studied physics at National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, and got the M.S. degree from National Chiao Tung University in Hsinchu. My thesis is about detecting ultra-high energy astrophysical neutrinos in Antarctica. I especially love spectacular astronomical pictures (e.g., nebulae, galaxies, clusters, milky way, observatories).

I began playing volleyball when I was a high school student. I enjoy every moment when I take a jump floating service, dig, spike, set or block. I often play as an opposite or a wing spiker on the court. I enjoy the team work spirit when I am playing with my teammates.

I love music, too. When I was a high school student, I became a metalhead and played bass guitar in our band. Now I also listen to classical musics, popular musics, etc. I like some musical instruments (e.g., guitars, violins, harps, pianos, harpsichords, oboes or folk instruments) and great musicians.

I have learned photography in 2017. You can see my photos on my Flickr page:

Welcome to leave any comments there, whether you like them or you have some suggestions to me.
Now I also take photos with films. I upload some of them on my Lomography page:

Taiwan is a beautiful and humane country. We now have some international dilemmas and some arguments with our neighborhood, China. There are many ethnic groups living in Taiwan. Taiwan had became a colony of Japan in WW2. After the war, Taiwan was ruled by Chiang Kai-shek regime (KMT) who lost the Chinese Civil War in 1949 until 1988. But now Taiwan is a democratic country in Asia, like Japan and South Korea.

Taiwan is NOT a part of China.

So please DON'T write "Republic of China (R.O.C.)" on postcards. Sometimes they will be transferred to China (People's Republic of China, PRC).

I also like some photos or paintings about birds, nature landscapes, historical buildings, boxing, airplanes, fighter aircrafts, warships, trains, racing cars, lighthouses and animations including Muumi (Moomins), Initial D and Gundam.

One of my dreams is visiting Germany, Istanbul and northern Europe. Hope it will come true in the future.
Thank you very much if you send me a postcard with beautiful stamps. Wish you a wonderful life.
