About Susannah...

Hello! My name is Susannah, and I am a middle school (grades 6-8) English, history, and music teacher. I would love to receive postcards unique to your area--people, both leaders* and just folks, architecture, history, food***, culture, sports, politics, art, flags and maps**,unique design--I am interested in it all. The cold war era is especially fascinating. But I have never been disappointed in a card. Every one I receive makes my day brighter.

*I have a display of postcards in my classroom of world leaders (including royal families) past and present.

**I teach World Geography to my seventh graders, and I LOVE the Flags of the World series. My students pour over them, as well as the other cards I receive from all over the world.

I am unabashedly obsessed with figure skating, and if you have a skating card or stamp, I would love it. If you want to write about your favorite skaters (and least favorite), I would enjoy having that discussion.

I enjoy running and swimming. I love to cook. ***I love food cards and have a special place in my classroom for those as well, next to the area where the students keep their lunchboxes. They love to look at the food and beverages.

I collect tea pots and postcards with tea pots, tea cups, and the like. I frame them and display them in my kitchen.

Late Spring/early summer is my favorite time of year, and I spend hours on my porch drinking tea or red wine and listening to music or writing romantic stories. I am looking forward to reading what you have to write. What time of year is your favorite? What do you like to eat/drink/read/listen to? Eh, write about anything you like. I can't wait to hear from you.
