I think postcrossing is fun! This way you can experience the feeling that you're an "inhabitant of the global village".
I'm a female in my sixties, retired since April 2020, and I live in a quiet small town with a beautiful old towncentre in the middle of the Netherlands.

I like postcards with:
hares or foxes;
paintings/drawings (art-cards) especially made by artists from your own region or country;
paintings by Chagall;
fairy tales;
children's book illustrations;
Belle & Boo;
quilts;
birds;
tractors, harvest machines, farming and countrylife in general;
sakura;
daffodils, anemones and poppies;
orchards;
snow and snow landscapes;
desert landscapes.
If you're from Russia: I love to receive Russian landscape paintings.

In november and december I love to receive Christmas cards and stamps!

Oh, and I do love nice stamps!
