About Caitlin...
Hello Postcrossers,
My name is Caitlin,I'm 39 years old and live in Almelo, the Netherlands.
I'm a happily married mother of 3 beautiful daughters and until my youngest daughter was born, I've worked as a teacher on a highschool. I taught Geography and Geology, so that's why I like Postcrossing so much: I love to learn about different countries, cultures and especially people!
I like a good laugh in life, try to live my life the fullest and be a better person every day.
I love reading and my favourite author is Bill Bryson.
I also love gardening, crocheting, cleaning/organizing (really, no kidding!), yoga, and trying to get a relationship with Tom Hanks or Rupert Grint (now I'm kidding :), but I'm a big fan of them).
I would LOVE to hear what you are trying to do to make this world a better place to live in.
What good deeds are you doing? What's your greatest voluntary act of random kindness? Did you ever receive some amazing act of kindness from a total stranger?
Or: How do you treat yourself with love?
What do you do to (learn to) love yourself and/or your body?
My motto in life is:
Always ask yourself: What would love do now?
And the answer to that, is the way I treat myself and people around me.
(sometimes NOT easy :) )
I like to receive cards with things very organized. Doesn't matter what it is: Books, glasses, herbs, people, boxes, characters, symbols, doors, windows etcetera!
Note for extremely disorganized people :):
Is this cleaning/organizing thing driving you crazy?
I also like cards which are:
- humorous/funny;
- about Zen or Zen-like pictures, Japan
- about monasteries or monastic life (of any religion)
- interiors of churches, chapels and monasteries
- about Amish culture
- with seaturtles or toads (no frogs)
- about cabinets/closets with drawers; boxes, chests or wicker baskets/suitcases
- photos of adult cats (no kittens please)
- French Bulldogs
- World maps/earth/maps of countries, cities, buildings
- classical ballet (especially pointe shoes)
- yoga/meditation
- crochet, lace or embroidery
Please NO typical tourist cards with multi views on them.
I'm looking forward to your card!!
Caitlin
