I am 71 and live in southern New Jersey-USA. I have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren.
I had worked as an instructional aide in a local school district for over 28 years and retired in 2016.
Some of my hobbies are doodling, sewing, gardening, cooking and I especially like baking cookies. I just started doing Diamond Art and am obsessed with it!!
I love to travel whether by air or cross-country by car which, I have done several times. The USA is a very beautiful place. I have been in almost all of the states at least once but still have a few to go. I love flying and have piloted a Cessna. It was AWESOME!!
My most special place in the whole wide world is Maine-particularly the Casco Bay area where I had spent many summers. I miss water skiing, boating, the fragrant pine and cool sea air smell and especially the lobsters and steamers, picking strawberries and blueberries.
My favorite sports are bowling, racquetball and softball.
I collect children’s books and my favorite one is called "The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear by Audrey and Don Wood. My favorites: car-Porsche, color-blue, food-lobster, movie-"Pretty Woman", song- Final Countdown, season- winter because it isn't hot and humid.
My favorite band is the MOODY BLUES. I also like classic rock, new age, classical, musicals, newer country and some opera.
I have 1 dog, Miss Scout Whiskerface. She is adopted like 2 of my other dogs were. She's a schnauzer-mini poodle mix. She is spayed. Please SPAY and NEUTER your pets!!
I enjoy spending time on my computer. You can find me on Facebook.
I like doing jigsaw puzzles and playing cards like Cribbage and 14. Scrabble is my favorite board game or Wordfeud on my cell.
More of my favorites are PEACOCKS,(what my maiden name means in German) mini dachshunds, buttons, butterflies, kites, flowers, Nutcrackers, Gnomes, mandalas, fractals and Cheshire Cats(like in Alice in Wonderland)-hence my username-CHEZIN-it means smiling and I made it up! I also like art, paintings, drawings and tea parties with pretty china cups and saucers. I like old postcards and scenic cards.
I have been out of the USA to Canada near Niagara Falls and on cruises to the Bahamas and then Bermuda this Summer. I would love to receive most any kind of postcard with scenes of your country. I particularly like the kind with maps on them.
I celebrate Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas so, during their months, a holiday postcard would be nice. A birthday card in October would be a nice surprise also!
I always read what preferences someone has and try to choose the most appropriate card. I like when someone notes my preferences as well. A card with one of my favorite things on it would be wonderful! But I will enjoy your card no matter what the subject is so Surprise Me!! Thank you for reading and Happy Postcrossing!!
Please DO NOT mail it in an envelope. I enjoy seeing the cancelled stamps on the postca
