I'm a beginning author and translator from English to Russian (and now learning how to translate from French to Russian). This year I've finished the translation of the big and famous american novel.
Dear all, I'm sorry to write it but I pray you to attach the stamps on your cards doubly tight because from time to time I received the cards with damaged stamps - alas, not all the staff members of our post is honest.
I speak two foreign languages - English and Français, and I long for learn more about their cultures.
I like many things - languages, history, fairy tales, astronomy, painting, travelling, crosstitching but my ruling passion is literature. Such names as Shakespeare, Flaubert, Melville, Hugo, Leo Tolstoy, Nabokov, J. Austen, Rowling, Dickens means a great deal for me.
If someone tells me a good, interesting story - I consider it as a gift. I'm a good listener. Life is so full of wonders! One just need to be open and prick up one's ears.
In music I mostly like the rock groups: Deep Purple, KINO, Muse, Sound Garden, AC/DC, Nickelback but also listen a classic music and pop (a little).
Some suggestions about the postcards you may send to me:

- aircraft (planes, helicopters)

- the castles and palaces

In December and January I'd like to receive the Christmas cards.
In spring time I'd like to receive the cards with spring flowers.
But I'll be happy with every card you send to me! : o)
I'd like to receive a postcard in envelope or without it - it's for you to decide how you'll send it : o) Please don't send me the advertisement, postcards with unpleasant pics (animal cruelty, war and all), handmade and politic stuff.
I'll be glad if you write to me your story, something that matters for you, something you'd like to discuss about; your secret, may be; I'll be very pleased to talk about the books you love, about great writers and literature.
Among my faves there are some cards that I received, not only desired ones, so be on the alert : o)
