After completing my masters degree in three different European countries and spending unsuccessful half a year in my home country Armenia, I am now in Denmark for my PhD. I have studied in Groningen (Netherlands), Potsdam (Germany) and Joensuu (Finland). Having grown up in Yerevan (Armenia), I have also lived parts of my childhood in Prague (Czech Republic) and Moscow (Russia). I am curious what life will bring me next.
Postcrossing is a very important part of my life in Europe. It is exciting to find a postcard in my mailbox several times a week. Also, my mission is sharing my culture with people from other countries, who probably know very little about Armenia.
Apart from my masters in clinical linguistics, I am also a trained psychiatrist. My hobbies include music (my favorite artists include Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette and Zaz), literature (my favorite writers are Ernest Hemingway and Milan Kundera) and languages (I am learning Danish now and it is not easy).
I would like to receive the following types of postcards:
- The so-called touristic ones with a view of your town, your country, etc.
- Anything related to Ireland and Irish culture
- Anything related to writing and literature
To Dutch, German and Finnish postcrossers: I have noticed that most of you avoid sending postcards with a view of your town, thinking that it might be boring. Personally, I am very happy to receive postcards with views from all of these countries.
And please-please-please no ad-cards, unless it's a really nice one. If it's difficult to find a postcard that meets my wishes, simply send me anything that you'd be happy to receive. At least that's what I do.
I prefer written postcards. Write anything you want :) If you speak any of the languages mentioned in my profile, I would appreciate if you wrote the postcard in that language.
Armenian postcrossers: հրավիրում եմ միանալ այս խմբին. https://www.facebook.com/groups/267622160029593/
To direct swappers: please note that although I have the option on, I don't always reply to swap requests because of their enormous amount. If you want your message to be replied, make it as interesting and unique as possible.
To those who send multiple postcards to me: it's really sweet of you, I appreciate the effort and I also do the same sometimes. But please don't do that if your motivation is receiving a postcard in return.
