Hello postcrosser,

my name is Ludger and I am a 53 years old man from Germany who loves the diversity of his country and the world.

For this reason I like to discover the world with postcrossing.

Since 14th February 2020 I am very happy, because on that day I was allowed to marry my great love Vesna. You can find pictures from this day under this link: https://vesnaundludger.tumblr.com/archive

I am a horticultural engineer by profession and love the nature in all its fantastic variations.

I like football (especially Borussia Mönchengladbach, VFL Osnabrück and Kickers Offenbach).
I played myself for more than 20 years. Not succesful but very enthusiastic.

Also I love art, travel a lot in nature and in cities and like to explore the world near and far.

You can see from my nickname that the painter Pieter Brueghel (the elder) has always impressed me very much. But also many other painters like William Turner, Rembrandt, Edvard Munch, Raffael, Edgar Degas, Franz Marc or Francis Bacon can inspire me again and again. And that's just a small selection of artists I particulary like.

Occasionally I like to read. Kafka, Saramago, Loetscher and Shakespeare are among my favourites. But I basically read a lot of different things.

I almost forgot to mention that I love coffee, especially cappuccino. 😊

And dear postcrossing-friends from all over the world. Please remember the goal of this page and just enjoy every postcard you receive. So, don't be afraid of handmade cards, ad cards, multiviev cards, maximum cards, cards with selfmade photos, cards in envelopes, cards with religious motifs or all the other things that you don't want to receive and that I keep finding in various profiles. Just be happy that a stranger has taken the trouble to write you a card and send it to you as a gift. The aim of this platform is to bring people and the world together and to make each other happy, not to make lists of what you definitely don't want to receive.
