Hello world!
I am a college writing instructor, fiction writer, editor, and tap dancer... I love music: real-good hip hop, old country western, New Orleans jazz and the uncategorizable Tom Waits. When I was a child, I wanted to be a New York City Radio City Hall Rockette. In this picture, I am looking through a magnifying glass at a dead bug. I enjoy walking aimlessly around Brooklyn. I also enjoy traveling, preferably by train.
I am so excited about postcrossing because I love receiving and sending mail. I'm so happy other folks also care so much about this. Also, after more than five years, I still don't feel like New York City is my home. Maybe your postcard will convince me to move to your city!

I will enjoy any postcard sent to me, especially photography of artists, writers, musicians, or activists that you love, self-made cards (please!), postcards of artwork...
Cityscapes and touristy "scene" postcards aren't my favorite. Send me the postcard that you are not sure what to do with.
Otherwise, I like to be surprised!

I hope you will write on the postcard--a joke or proverb, a quick story about your day, the temperature in your town, or anything that will bring a smile to my face.

Please feel free to write a few words in your native language. That way, I will have to do some detective work to read it. I have many international students from all corners of the globe who will help me.

Also, I am practicing my Spanish, so please excuse mistakes!
