About Rebecca...

Hello :D

I'm Rebecca, a 25 y/o information science grad student living in Potsdam, studying in Berlin.
I love learning languages, getting to know other cultures and, of course, postcards. My dream is to travel to as many countries as possible, but I'm also very happy about receiving postcards from all over the world.
My other hobbies include geocaching, sewing, reading (favorite writers: H.G. Wells and A. Čechov) and being outdoors, exploring my surroundings. I am a curious person and I'm always eager to learn more. I have discovered that I have a liking for old things. I go to flea markets often to see if I can get my hands on any cool vintage items. I already found some nice things that came home with me: plates, pieces of art, books, a Матрёшка (I have a little collection of matroschkas), postcards (of course) and really old photographs.

I appreciate every postcard, and I especially like the ones that show landscapes and interesting places, that kind of postcard someone would send when they're on vacation. I also like everything with cats, dachshund, pictures of space/astronomy (I work at an astrophysics research institute) or ski jumping. :D

Since I've received a vintage style "Greetings from" large letter state name postcard from the US I have the goal to collect them all. So far, I have AZ, CO, MI, MN, MT, NC, OH, PA, TN. (Cities: NYC, Austin, Chicago, Tampa)

(If you happen to have anything manga/anime/kpop related, you can send that too. I personally am not a fan, but my little sister loves these things. I will give those postcards to her.)

Remember these are only suggestions, I love every card I receive :)

If you don't know what to write, I have a few suggestions:
- you could write about your native language, e.g. interesting words, a proverb or a funny tongue twister.
- you could also tell me something about the place where you live, your daily life, things you like... anything, really.
- if you are a food lover like me, you could tell me what your favorite dish is or share some information about your country's cuisine.

I can't wait to see what you'll send :)
