About the Postcrosser

Hello! I'm Brigi, a 30-something Hungarian girl, I work as a teacher and translator. I love reading, my cat Monty, music (my favourites aat the moment are Noah Reid and Watsky), snail mail, watching films and TV series, learning new things, and drinking tea. A few random things/people I love (maybe we have something in common?):

Agatha Christie, Anne of Green Gables, BBC's "Pride & Prejudice" [I'm a huge Jane Austen fan], Beatrix Potter, berries, birds, bow ties, Cabin Pressure, cats, chocolate, detective fiction, feminism, the Great British Bake Off, HAMILTON, Hannah Gadsby's comedy, Harry Potter, Hedwig & The Angry Inch, hedgehogs and squirrels, Johannes Vermeer, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, lavender, letters, things of LGBTQ+ interest, libraries, London, markets, Miranda Hart, moose, novels, parks and gardens, P.G. Wodehouse, Regency/Victorian England, Schitt's Creek, Sherlock Holmes, ships, socks, stationery, street food (well, most kinds of food, to be honest), the Tatra Mountains, tea & coffee, typography, water, windows, wit, wordplay, yoga, Yorkshire, all kinds of geekery.

About the Postcards

I am happy to receive ANY postcard that you pick for me! It brings me joy that you spent your time choosing and writing a card for me. 💙 But if you want some pointers, here are some topics I would be very happy to receive postcards about:

- a typical touristy viewcard from where you live (multiviews welcome)
- animals (<3 cats, birds, hedgehogs, squirrels and all sorts of furry and feathery creatures) 🐈
- libraries, literature, books, typography, anything to do with reading 📚
- universities, schools, museums, anything connected to education 🏫
- anything related to science 🧪
- nature, parks, gardens, national parks, mountains 🌳
- bees 🐝
- Sherlock Holmes, detectives, crime fiction, criminology 🔍
- food, markets, cooking, baking, tea, coffee ☕
- the sea, oceans, rivers, lakes – anything to do with water 🌊
- LGBTQ+ themes, drag, Pride etc. 🏳️‍🌈
- art, especially women in art, female artists 🎨
- crafts, anything to do with needlework, sewing, knitting, crochet etc. 🧶
- baseball ⚾

You don't need to waste your time going through my received cards and favourites, I don't mind duplicates. Also, my grandma picks up my post. She doesn't speak English, so she won't read your message, but she enjoys looking at the cards, especially the ones with cats on them. So if you are sending me something you don't want her to see, consider putting it in an envelope.

If you don’t know what to write, please recommend me a good book, film or song. Thanks!

Happy Postcrossing!

PS. As per Postcrossing rules, I only register cards I have actually received. If I haven't registered your card, I haven't received it. Sorry
