Dear Postcrossers,

my name ist Heinz, I'm 78 years old and live in the small village Ockensen near Hamelin, the city of the famous pied piper.

Recently I've received this account as a surprising birthday present from my granddaughter Elin, who is a 14-year-old postcrosser for about 1 year. Actually I am writing my first postcards with the help of my teacher Elin.

Since the day of my birth I live on a farm in the pleasant village Ockensen. I've worked in the agricultural sector for 13 years and after that in the industrial sector. I'm married for almost 50 years now and have two adult children, a daughter and a son. My daughter lives on the farm, too, together with my beloved grandchildren.

My hobbies are reading, hiking, swimming, doing short trips around Germany and I'm interested in history, especially in the 19th and 20th century. But I'm open-minded in general, interested in nearly everything and love to learn and try new things.

I would be grateful receiving postcards with the following topics:

- countryside (of your country, of course)
- important sights, touristic cards
- old photos of your city
- maps
- farms / agriculture / agricultural machines

Please be so kind and tell me something about you and your family, write down your favourite quote and / or a sentence in your native language (with English or German translation).

Please don't forget the date and some information about the weather (temperature, symbol of the sun, clouds, rain, etc.). Thanks a lot!
