Hi! Вітаю! My name's Dasha.
I live in Belarus, the country with the bravest people and the cruellest regime.
I'm interested in the architecture of foreign countries, their history. If you send a postcard with a building or a place please write some words about it.
So my interest grew into sth greater: I'm an architecture student now.
UPD: On Oct 28 '20 got expelled from the university due to political views. Anyway, that's ok, the topical aim's much bigger.
I like listening to music: Imagine Dragons, Radiohead, Three Days Grace, Adept, Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Disturbed, FFDP, Breaking Benjamin, Thousand Foot Krutch, BMTH (old style), Oomph!, Lord of The Lost, Die Kreatur, God Is An Astronaut, Godsmack, Tool, Wardruna, Architects, Starset; Lavon Volski, TOR BAND (Belarusian ones); Jeremy Soule, Ludovico Einaudi, Claude Debussy, 2CELLOS, Jamie N Commons.
I enjoy books, series and films like "The Lord of the Rings", "Sherlock Holmes", "Doctor Who", "ER", "Harry Potter", "Hobbit", "The Hunger Games", "Bones", "Body of Proof", "K-PAX", "Daria", "The Favourite", and "Fahrenheit 451", lately "Dune".
As a true architect, I love doing origami.
I'm interested in anything related to the Holocaust. This horrific scene and Jewish legacy as a whole left a considerable mark on our history and my home city heritage in particular.
Here are ideas for a postal muse:
•Architecture | exciting nature of your country (castles, churches, cathedrals, modern buildings, unusual buildings, ruins, etc | waterfalls, lakes, rivers, forests, fields, mountains, caves with stalactites and stalagmites, etc)
•Foggy landscapes | starry sky
•Wolves | eagles | foxes | kangaroos
•Hot air balloons
•the Universe (comets | asteroids | constellations | The Solar System | nebulae | galaxies | shuttles | spacecraft | telescopes)
•Airports | aeroplanes
•Tea | coffee
•Newspapers | books
•Unusual doors | windows
•Seas | oceans | rivers | ponds | lakes
•Paintings by Vincent van Gogh
•Art Noveau | Art Deco
Anyway, I treasure any kind of postcard.
And, of course, I would be very happy if you send a greeting card for my birthday or any other celebration.
Please, date the postcard.
If you decide to use an envelope I'd be extremely pleased if you put in smth associated with your country/city/town (a ticket, a coin, a magnet, a flyer etc).
That'll be great if you write "Thank you postman" so I can put it on a postcard to your country and make postmen a bit happier.
!!! It’s my Mum’s birthday on Jul 5 and my Dad’s on Aug 25, so it’ll be great to congratulate them through Postcrossing. My Mum is a seamstress and Dad is an air traffic controller; these facts can help to choose cards for them. Also ‘Darja’ can be changed to ‘Siarhej’ (dad) or ‘Tatiana’ (mom) in the address.
Have a nice day!
PS: Please write your name in block letters; I feel so embarrassed when I miswrite one's name :(
