About Brenda...

I work as an ecologist, I love the outdoors, my home, garden and I love stamps! While I am not in the rural areas with a driveway mailbox like when I was young I am happy to have a walking post-person and postcards make me look forward to opening the mailbox on the house. I have many hobbies, some of them include gardening, reading, crafts, observing butterflies and dragonflies and photography.

Written postcards with stamps are welcome!

I enjoy receiving mail, it brightens my day and, in addition to seeing interesting stamps and postmarks, I love to read about your life or area.

I am a stamp collector and would love to receive any and all stamps, but don't worry all stamps received on cards STAY ON the cards, they are valuable to me on a card chosen and written to me!
Stamps I love include illustrated ones to do with nature, flowers, plants, wildlife, parks or landscapes. I especially love butterflies, dragonflies, native bees, bumblebees, cats (both wild and domestic, but cougars/mountain lions are my favorite cats), botanicals (flower/plant art), whales and sea life, castles, horses, any wild mammals, dinosaurs, archeology. Also anything related to the postcard (matching themes, stamp and card, are always a neat treat). But any stamp that's from a new country for me or not the 'regular' standard will be nice.

Some postcard preferences include ones showing your regions landscape, illustration of butterflies, dragonflies, nature, flower art, wildlife, whales, waterfalls, native peoples and traditional clothing, rural architecture, castles, old stone churches (or any old stone buildings), historic sail (tall) ships, mushrooms, anything moss covered, watercolour art or oriental ink art cards.

Because it it becoming so difficult to find postcards and because of the jack in the price of both postcard themselves and postage prices I have incorporated using prepaid cards when sending. I really prefer sending stamped but if a profile does not specify I may use prepaid. And there are some very nice designs in Canada Post prepaid that can't be acquired through 'regular' cards.

Thanks to those who have sent me nice cards, beautiful stamps and shared a bit of your life with me.
