Hello, my name is Dave. I'm 50-something, and I live in a small town an hour's drive from Pittsburgh, in southwestern Pennsylvania. I'm an English major and a dog Iover and a state employee.
I'm always looking for direct exchanges. If you would like me to send you a post card, ask me. I have had the privilege to meet some damn fine people on this site, and that's what keeps me postcrossing.
Here are some suggestions for what to send me, but don't limit yourself to these bullet points: Now that I've sent and received more than 700 postcards, I find I read your writing first. Then I flip the card over to see what the picture is.
- Weird or silly postcards -- re-prints of old comic book covers, old magazine covers, strange images, strange facts.
-Art, History, and/or Art History -- a postcard you purchased in an art museum gift shop, or at a national/state park.
-Greetings From _________ cards. Anything large-letter or Curt Teich, bring it on.
-Pictures of dogs, birds, ducks.
-Postcards from baseball teams.
-Greetings from your hometown.
-Trains, steam engines.
I look forward to hearing from you, and reading what you have to write.
