I enjoy traveling and learning about other people and places. I am passionate about environmental and sustainable causes and local foods. I am learning to forage more native, wild foods. I love spending time with my family and animals. We have a small farm and live in a tiny village.
My hobbies include geocaching, genealogy and learning as much as I can about our world. I have so enjoyed the postcards (and stamps!) I have received to date. The Postcrossing community is simply wonderful!
Here are a few of my favorite quotes:
"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little." Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Second Inaugural Address, 20 January 1937
"There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief...and unspeakable love." Washington Irving
Malo periculosam, libertatem quad quietam servitutem. "I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery" or "I prefer the tumult of liberty to the quiet of servitude" Thomas Jefferson
