I am retired, married to Marianne and we have one daughter and two grandchildren - Mia (12) and Liam (9). I worked in the Gold Mining Industry of South Africa most of my working life focusing on the supply and support of information technology.

I love listening to music - mostly gothic, folk and symphonic metal. We live in the Western Cape Province of South Africa in the town of Robertson, established in 1853. It is located in a grape, olive and fruit growing area called the Breederiver Valley at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains.

Countries and cities I have visited are the following:
USA - New York, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Brazil - Rio de Janeiro.
UAE - Dubai, Sharjah and Fujeirah.
African countries - Namibia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Aan die vriende van Nederland .... 'n poskaart van die dorp Oosthuizen (Zeevang) in Noord-Holland sal baie waardeer word. Dit is tog immers my van ....!
