***Anastasia from Russia, thank you for your card to the Recoveryproject! I received it and will try to put it up on the website soon!***
My name is Suzanne, I'm 43 and live in Maastricht, Netherlands.
Until recently I also ran 'The Recovery Project, but due to financial reasons, I could no longer afford it, but I think it's a too good project to let go of... So you can choose whether you send your card to me personally or the Recovery Project (see details below)
My favorite things/cards are (in no particular order):
aurora borealis/aurora australis
koala's and wombats
images of buddha
Where is Waldo?
Banksy and other Street art!
Alexey Dolotov, Cat & Co. Illustrations (xenopus)
reptiles and snakes! (preferably photo's not drawings)
birds/birds of prey! (preferably photo's, not drawings)
Fauna of Belarus!
Hippo's and elephants
other animals (preferably photo's, not drawings)
'Cow and Chicken' (this is a specific cartoon!)
Everything that has to do with Sydney and/or Australia!
and those colourful 'emoticon' kind of postcards (mainly coming from the Czech Republic!)
I love those! (for example: https://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/CZ-944992)
These are just things that make me extra happy! But every card is just as welcome! (but as I'm not at all religious I would kindly appreciate it if you can avoid texts about God, please send them to people that really appreciate them). :-)
(If using an envelope is just as expensive as without it, you can also use an envelope, so I can easily collect the beautiful stamps: but it's not a must!!!)
FOR THE RECOVERYPROJECT (please address it to Recovery Project)
I've spend a lot of time in the psychiatric system and I'm trying to collect stories from all over the world about what helps people when they are facing a difficult time, as everyone has difficult times in their lives.
For the project I ask you to send me a card that symbolizes or shows me what helps you throuh a difficult time, and please tell me how and why it helps you.
You can use your name, a nickname or be anonymous, that's all fine!
There is also a website where we collect these cards and stories, if you're curious please have a look. (If you still want to contribute, but don't want to be on the website, just tell me, that's possible too!)
Receiving mail is Great!
Wouldn't it also be cool to all say at least thank you when registering a card???
Have a happy day!
ps: sorry, but I don't send unwritten cards...
and I also don't register cards that didn't actually arrive.
