Hi, I'm Barbara, married to Jaap, mother of 3 (2 boys, 18 and 17 and a girl, 15), working in psychiatric care.
My avatar is a peace of the stamp I created (yes, it's me!) and ordered, especially for postcrossing. I really love the fact that this is possible here in Holland.... maybe also possible in other countries??

I love:
- all sorts of crafting (also making postcards, will only send you a homemade card if asked for in your profile...)
- visiting thrift stores; I always end up coming home with new treasures...
- reading books
- photographing
- snailmailing
- POSTCROSSING!

When I read about postcrossing (31 jan. 2013) I just had to sign in immediately.

When you'll send me a postcard (preferably without an envelope and please do not write or put stickers on the front of your card!), please also write me a little something about yourself... or where you live.

The preference I have regarding to the postcards: I'd really like a card that was made/designed/printed in your own country and therefore not available in the rest of the world.... Animals and traditional tourist cards are not my no. 1 favourites.... Although I think it's awesome if the card gives a clue to where it comes from.... check my favourites and you will know what I mean...
I also love getting homemade cards, as long as they're made with a little TLC (not just cutting out a piece of a cerial box ;-) ).
