About Violet...

Hello, my dear friend!
Postcards have been traveling all over the world for decades. But only very recently, postcards have turned from personal communication of close people into a way to learn about completely unfamiliar people and places.
I think there's a drop of magic in the paper card you're sending me now. Do you believe in miracles? Do you make a wish when a star falls? By the way, on my last birthday, my beloved husband gave me a starfall. We specially went to the mountains at night, where there are no cities, and for a long time we watched the universe being destroyed. I like the idea of the infinity of the cosmos. After all, each of us consists of atoms of cosmic dust.
Have you ever been to a planetarium? St. Petersburg has the most incredible planetarium I've been to. It's incredibly big and beautiful. There you can lie on padded stool and watch beautiful movies about the stars.
With love, always your Violet.

Unfortunately, every next day seems worse than the previous one. People who accuse every Russian of killing civilians: where were you when our husbands and children were put in prison, when they took to the streets protesting against the fascist regime in my country? Where were the world sanctions when protesters in Belarus were beaten and killed by representatives of the tyrannical authorities? Why didn't global corporations organize a boycott in response to the fact that despots were rewriting the Constitution under the guise of a fake referendum? Where did the moral representatives of your government look when shaking hands with usurpers who have not left the royal chair for twenty years? We exist in a country where there is no idea of law and justice; where those who have connections and money are right; where most of the population is below the poverty line, and the president buys his mistress and children Swiss citizenship. Don't tell me it's my fault for the war.

Today is my lucky day. Let's start with the fact that a week ago I turned 32 years old, I have a wonderful husband and a gorgeous black cat. And today we saw our beautiful baby on the ultrasound. I heard his heartbeat. Today he is 12 weeks old. We would be very pleased if you find in your heart wishes for the future baby. He will probably celebrate his birthday in early March. It would be great to collect postcards from all over the world for his birth so that he knows that despite what is happening in the world, there are people who know how to love, smile, rejoice and say good words when he loses faith in it.
