About Kathleen...

Hello! I live in northeast Wisconsin with my family (husband, kids & cats). My favorite thing to do is read and drink coffee! I also enjoy art, music, nature walks, baking and photography. I hope you will share something about yourself, your country, traditions, hopes, dreams, the weather, a book you are reading... There is so much more to say than just "Happy Postcrossing" and I love to learn about people & places all over the world.

One of my favorite things about Postcrossing is when a card I send makes someone happy. I try to send cards to match interests. My mailbox is happy with whatever you send, however, I have a few small requests.

Please NO nudity & NO cards with rats/mice (phobia). Thanks for your understanding! :) Not a huge fan of typical tourist cards. Handmade cards are welcomed. As my collection is growing, the cards in my "favorites" are only ones I have not received. I think this will be less confusing. Of course, I am grateful for each and every card I receive. They are all special because they are unique!

I register cards upon receipt. If you have sent me one that is expired, please let me know.

If you are looking for ideas, here are some cards I love to receive.

*mothers with children

favorite styles - Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Realism

*women and/or children reading

*Inge Löök (Aunties/Old Ladies)

*animals (NO rodents, please!)

*all things British! (huge fan of Downton Abbey, Sherlock, Jane Austen, Victoria)

*vintage/black & white photographs

*TV shows: Game of Thrones, Orphan Black, Dr. Who (10th Doctor is my favorite) & those mentioned above in my British obsessions

*female superheroes - especially Wonder Woman

*feminist themes/Women's March

Special requests, if you are from:

Japan - Gotochi cards

Russia - Matroyshka dolls, Romanovs

Sweden - Dala horse

Thank you! I look forward to hearing from you!
