I like all types of postcards, especially picture postcards or map postcards showing the area or country in which the sender resides. I love the idea of shrinking the world!

I am the mother of six grown children/stepchildren (love them all); grandmother of 13 sweethearts, great-grandmother to two precious tots.

My husband and I lost our geese to coyotes and foxes this year (2015), but still have our orchard, grape arbor, and cats! As we're in our 70s now -- that's quite enough! Our farm is located in a rural area among several families of Amish. They are wonderful neighbors. We trade produce in the summer/autumn and exchange cookies/candy at Christmas time. (Actually we celebrate the Winter Solstice as we are not Christians.)

Years ago I lived for a time in Biloxi, Mississippi and spent a year in Lincoln, Nebraska; then for 2 years lived in England in the cities/villages of Ipswich, Ely, and Mundford.

My youngest son took me to Ireland for 10 days several years ago. Wish I could have stayed for months! Such a beautiful, green country. I got to kiss the Blarney Stone, but it doesn't seem to have improved my 'gift of gab'!

Took my first trip "Out West" with one of my sisters and a dear cousin through South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado in September, 2011.

I love visiting new places. Postcrossing allows me to do that even when my traveling funds are depleted!
