Hi,
My name is Athira. I was born and raised in a small town, southern part of India, close to the Arabian sea.
Since childhood, collecting stamps and coins has been my major hobby. I have traveled across south India during my childhood days, been to Europe, and all this while I have sent a lot of postcards to my friends and family.
I came across postcrossing and immediately got attracted to the idea of sending postcards to people who love and admire this culture. It is such a romanticized idea: sending cards to new addresses, from all over the globe.
The sheer excitement in waiting for a postcard and discovering where it comes from is what I look forward to. And I hope I could bring joy to a postcrosser somewhere on the globe.

I am very interested in learning about different cultures: language, costumes, architecture, cuisine, music, dance, paintings (all art forms!)...
I love nature. I also like cute & pretty postcards. Black and white photography too..! VINTAGE..Of course!
In fact anything and everything is welcome..! :)

P.S. : I am curious about languages. Did learn some German and Slovenian. Currently learning French. If you could write a word in your own language while sending a postcard, that would be so great. And, all the French speakers, write the whole message in French. I would love that..:)
