Hello everyone! My name is Arlene and I live in the Los Angeles area of Southern California. My hobbies and interests include travel, books and reading, auto racing, mosaics, quilting, sewing, opera, cooking, bird watching, antiques, decorating and art history.

What I love about Postcrossing is the randomness of it. We all have access to the internet, or we wouldn’t be here. So we can look up anything… right? But I don’t know what I don’t know. I love that a postcard can call my attention to something I’ve never seen or heard of before. I have received beautiful images and interesting tidbits about things I had no idea existed.

I am trying to figure out why we’re here on earth! At the end of this life, what will I wish I had done? Our journeys are crossing here, right now. How about you? What makes you happy? What do you enjoy in your life? Do you have a dream? Whether someone lives a large life in a big city, or a quiet life in a small town, all our lives are interesting… and meaningful… and important.
