About Anton...

Hi. My name is Anton, I live in Ostrava, Czech Republic, although I'm originally from Russia. Here I work as a developer in a large international company. I have a beautiful wife (who also does Postcrossing) and two small sons. I've always been fond of foreign countries, new places, and new people. If you want to send me a postcard I will definitely like, here's a quick list I compiled of what I like in a postcard, in no particular order.

Special wishes for my sons:
- anything pre-historic (dinosaurs, mammoths, etc.);
- space (planets, stars, rockets, etc.);

My personal wishes:
- artistic postcards;
- animals (my favourites are hedgehogs, penguins, pandas, koalas and all kinds of wild/domestic cats and tropical birds);
- local cartoon characters;
- pin-up girls;
- calligraphy;
- hieroglyphics;
- cards depicting local traditions;
- rock stars, from Elvis till Iron Maiden;
- sights (please, no boring typical shots - I will enjoy the card with any sight, as long as the view is fresh and interesting).

Also, please be reasonable when choosing the postcard - my little kids usually check the mailbox, there's no need for them to see 18+ pictures.

If Czech, German, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, French, Spanish or Ukrainian is your mother tongue, I would enjoy a card in that language as I either speak or am learning to speak those languages. My mother tongue is Russian, so if you speak it, you can also write in Russian, I won't mind. :)

If you come from Finland, I love Moomins. ;)

If you come from Sweden, I would love Swedish nature or city views or basically anything Swedish.

If you don't know what to write on the back, I will always enjoy an interesting, rarely known fact about your hometown or country (you can, for example, tell me, what your street is named after) or a book/movie/music recommendation.

Cheers!
