About Anika...

My name is Anika, I am 30 years old and got married in September '16 to a wonderful man at our 10th anniversary. Our first daughter Johanna was born in June 2017, she is now 3 years old. Our second daughter Mira was born in September 2019, she is now 1 year old. Our third child will be born in September 2021.

I was inactive for quite a while, because of the moving and raising my daugthers. Now she is at an age that I hope I can interest her in sending and receiving cards and I want to try to send cards together with her.

I studied physics and astronomy in Bochum, Germany since 2010 and got my Master of Science in March 2017. At the beginning of 2018 I moved to Potsdam (near Berlin) for my PhD in Astrophysics. My research topic is the influence of hot and massive stars on galaxy evolution. I also work at the planetarium in Potsdam to teach astronomy to kids.

My hobbies are handcraft work and music (I play piano, guitar and recently started playing the clarinet).

We would like to know about the ones who are writing to us. What are you doing everyday? What are your hobbies? Do you have kids? What is it like to be a child in your country? What toys to you play with?
If you also are sending cards together with a child, we would really like if the child would draw something on the card.

We like all kind of cards, but the most I like cards with:
- Stars, Sky Objects, Polarlights, and everything else, thats related to Astronomy or Physics
- Nature (e.g. Clouds, Vulcanos, ...)
- old technical things (like old pocket watches, cameras, ...)
- typical things for children in your country (tv characters, toys, ...)

We don't like cards with primarily people on it and composite cards that much.

Please don't try to send coins. I really love coins and appreciate the thought, but the mail always gets opened and the coins get lost. =(
