Hi, my name is Sigrid. I live in Cologne, a large city in western Germany. It's famous for its Cathedrale, its beer, the Rhine River and carnival. I like it all, especially the Rhine River. In my opinion, it is a good place to live.

I started postcrossing because I like the idea of sending greetings through the world without knowing the people, just because it's a nice gesture.

My favourite postcards are colourful ones and cards that touch the heart. I like postcards with water - rivers, beaches, the sea, rain. People and faces and especially cards with pictures of your home city.

I would appreciate it if you would write some more on the card than just best wishes. You can tell me about what happend to you today, what you are planning to do tomorrow or what you experienced yesterday. Or about the book you are reading at the moment, the movie you saw the other day or your favourite recepie, the weather or anything else that comes to your mind. You may want to recommend something to me - a place to visit, a book to read, a thought to think or a song to listen to.
