* So, a good friend of mine just found out she's pregnant and I thought about surprising her in some way. It would be lovely if you could help sending me a small piece of paper with a short note, best wish, quote or advice in your native language (with translation) - if it doesn't cost you more. I'll collect and give to her when the baby arrives in September. For each note received I'll send a postcard to thank the sender! *
About me? Well, I love to read. I can't actually choose favorites, but the ones that right now I remember: Agatha Christie, Jane Austen, Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Rothfuss, Gaiman, Doyle... and so on. Oh, I'm also quite fond of poetry. Fernando Pessoa, Paulo Leminsk, Mario Quintana...
And... I like watching TV series! Doctor Who, Criminal Minds, Friends...
About postcards, I'm sure I'll love anyone you choose, but things I like... places and views, famous or not, old or new. Also, anything related to books, music, cartoons, old compasses, hot air baloons, clocks, trains, Zeppelins, lighthouses, cute animals - and of course, the blue cats by Rina Zenyuk! You can tell me about you or the place you live, a poem, a word in your language, a song you like or one that's stuck in your head... or perhaps describe your surroundings on the way to the post office (or the place you post your cards).
I am also fond of baking, specially cakes. So if you have a favorite recipe, one not too complicated, write down and I'll try to make it.
Last but not least, kind postcrossers from Germany, I've been learning German for some years and would really appreciate if you wrote to me in German - and any tips you have in the matter are welcome.
I think that's it. Looking forward to receiving your postcard!
Oh, I also really like letters and penpalling, so if you want you can write to me and I'll answer it =)
Dear Postcrosser, please try to write more than just "Greetings from..." or "Happy Postcrossing!". If you don't have the time to write more than just one sentence, write a quote you like, a joke or something in your language, like your favorite word. It would make me happy =)
Oh, and would be also nice if you wrote the date and perhaps the weather conditions, I find it curious.
(Have you noticed how postscripts are addictive?)
Just out of curiosity, does the acronym CCB (in Portuguese) mean anything to you? If so, tell me, if not, do not think too much about it.
And that's it. Really. I mean it this time.
(I feel like I should congratulate you on reading this far. Cheers!)
I'm excited to receive your card. Take care!
