I am Anel and I am a 46-year old, stay-at-home mom, originally from South Africa. I'm married and we have a teenager, whom we homeschool. We lived in the United Kingdom (London and Oxford) for 13 years, before moving to the United States (Hoboken, New Jersey) about 3 years ago.

I LOVE dogs and chickens. We have 2 Lhasa Apso doggy girls and used to have chickens in our back garden, when we lived in Oxford.

And I also love gnomes, butterflies, flamingos, owls, sheep, goats, chickens and faeries!

We love to travel ;-) We’ve visited quite a few countries already, my favourite one was definitely Italy (Rome, Venice and Sicily). India is definitely on the top of my Bucket List. When Covid eventually hits the road, I want to travel to India for about 6 months. I love Indian cuisine, the smell of incense and the bright happy colours of their sarees! Oh, and the Indian dancing and singing in the Bollywood movies are also AMAZING!

My hobbies include:

- crafting (knitting, needle felting, painting, paper crafting, making jewellery and many more!),
- building jigsaw puzzles,
- playing card and board games
- reading (I mostly listen to Audiobooks),
- playing Pokemon Go! on my phone,
- writing Penpal letters and sending postcards,
- watching movies (thrillers), tv shows (mostly crime ones) and
- eating chocolates - hahaha I know this isn’t really a hobby!! Lol

I am a very social person, with a wicked sense of humour and I love making new friends from around the world.

I love history and would really like to know more about different cultures, so please be sure to tell me about yourself, and I would love it if you want to share something about your religion / beliefs, food, hobbies and interests.

The writing space on a postcard is so small, so if you’d like to write a bit more and the pop the postcard inside and envelope, I’d be equally grateful!
