About Anastasiia_Saniuk...
Hey everyone, I'm Anastasiia.
I'm from Ukraine, Odessa but I have graduated with MA in TESOL degree (teaching English to speakers of other languages) here in Canada and I'm currently working as an English teacher at Red River College, Winnipeg. I love my students!
I am also a photography lover. Showing God's creation is my biggest passion. The heart and mind are true lenses of the camera so first thing that comes to my mind when I work is to make people trust you.
I am a christian who carries God's dream within my heart. I am quiet introverted so you would not find me in crowded places. Among all entertainments I prefer to read a book or walk in the woods. I find happiness in little things, couple of warm words and admiring beautiful sunsets.
Postcrossing became a meaningful hobby for me. It is wonderful because it is able to transfer the warmth of human hands through the continents.
Recently I started collecting pictures of the sky. I would much appreciate if you send me a card with beautiful sky and clouds.
If you wish, you can send me leaves from your favourite tree, dry flowers or petals in the envelope. I want to make a herbarium with lots of different plants from all over the world.
Postcards I prefer:
- OCEAN/SEA, TIDES, WAVES, SEA STORMS
- NORTHERN LIGHTS/AURORA BOREALIS
- SKY, NIGHT SKY, MILKY WAY, CLOUDS, SUNSETS
- GREEN, EMERALD, TURQUOISE COLOURS
- SAKURA TREE
- abstract and surreal art, conceptual photography
- Japan, Japanese art, literature, haiku poems
- oil paintings (Ivan Aivazovsky is my favourite) and watercolour
- origami, paper cranes
- polaroid size cards
- wheat/flower fields
- books/reading
- letters, stamps, handwriting
- philosophy and something unusual
- anime, studio Ghibli (my favourites are Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle)
- I would much appreciate a card of Japanese animator MAKOTO SHINKAI and his works "5 cm per second", "Voices of a distant star", "Garden of words".
- birthday card in February
Finland, Norway, Alaska, cards with Northern Lights are much appreciated and adored!
JAPAN! I have a special request: if you could put some dry leaves of Japanese red maple tree or sakura petals in an envelope I would be sooo happy and will send you a card or two back.
Please DON'T send me cards with:
- churches
- sports
- views of the city
- ad cards
- Disney
Hope my favourite quote will inspire you: The post office has a great charm at one point of our lives. When you have lived to my age, you will begin to think letters are never worth going through the rain for. ~Jane Austen
Waiting for your card impatiently!
Take care,
Anastasiia.
