About Hedi...

Most of all I would like to receive postcards picturing views of nature, historic parts of town or some elements very characteristic of your place of residence or origins.

I like opera and jazz, but also traditional music of different countries (from Japan to Turkey). I love to dance and to swim. Sometimes I feel I am half fish, for I don't want to leave the water and would spend most of the day there if only I could. So pictures with the ocean, the seas, lakes etc are very welcome.

I adore almost everything oriental, during my university studies I took the opportunity to learn Japanese but besides anime there is little chance of daily practise and i have forgotten way too much.

I also love painting and sketching, so I would be very happy to find drawings or sketches on your postcards if that is your hobby as well. And handmade postcards are very much appreciated.

I found this site through a friend who guided me here (I think it was because he knows how much I like writing letters/postcards and receiving them as well - don't make a secret of it that I carry my calligraphy pen with me everywhere). What or who brought all of you here?

It would be nice to read about the city/town/village you live in, or something about your your everyday life. Also I like cards that have a story to them - about an artist who painted it or about the history of the building on the card etc. If you love to cook - some recipies are always a nice surprise to write on the card.

I have a fondness for photography and impressionist paintings so that might give you an idea what to send. Also bright colours, animal cards, cards featuring national clothing or something very unique about your culture would be awesome. And vintage postcards or black and white are incredible. But all in all, every postcard is a welcome surprise, if you love it, i'm sure I will also :)
