About Alvina...
Hello everyone !
I'm Alvina, I'm from Moulins, in the region Auvergne, but I'm now living in Colmar in Alsace. I work as a freelance translator, mainly in the video games field.
I love languages, travels, books and literature, History, music (especially the violin and the harp), video games …
☺ Kinds of postcards I like
My favorites are exactly the kinds of cards I wish !
I'm trying to collect mapcards from several countries. If you're from FR, IT, PL, DE or US, see what I'm looking for below (or if you want to swap) ! :)
• I prefer touristic cards (especially maps and/or multiviews), because I collect them. They can show for example :
- maps (also underground maps)
- multiviews
- flag, coat of arms
- costumes, traditions, recipes
- language (for example, a recipe, a quote, a little text in your language. Also, if you live in a bilingual area, I would love a card written in the two languages)
- monuments
- anything related to History
- music instruments, especially the harp and the violin (which I've started learning a short time ago ♥)
• Other stuff I like :
- anything related to celtic/scandinavian/slavic cultures
- Maxicards (unwritten if possible)
- stamps (that's why I usually prefer cards in an enveloppe)
- transport tickets, touristic brochures, … well, anything from everyday life where you live !
☺ My current collections
- FR : french « départements »
- US : american states
- IT : italian regions
- PL : polish « województwa »
- DE : german « Länder »
☺ What you can write on the card
Feel free to write anything you want on the card ; everything from you will make me happy ! If you have no idea, here are some examples :
- something about where you live, for example, a famous person linked to your place, a historical anecdote …
- your language (a sentence, some vocab, a quote …)
- your favourite book, music, etc …
- your studies
- If you've already been in France, I'd really love to know where you have been and what memories you keep from your trip
- … anything !
☺ Languages
- you can write me in English, Italian, Spanish, Polish, German or Danish
- but if your mother tongue is another one, don't hesitate to write me a few words in your language, because I'm really a language nerd, so it will totally make my day
- and of course, you can write in French, if you want to practice your French !
But let's sum up the most important in two words … surprise me !
Really looking forward to getting your cards, and happy Postcrossing :D
